Starting his training as a cardiologist in the UK, Dr. Qasim obtained a PhD in Cardiovascular Biology at the University of Cambridge. From there he relocated to Milan to become a fellow in interventional cardiology. Experience is the best teacher. Performing well in a job enables people to gain lots of experience. After starting as a King’s College Hospital and Mayday Hospital consultant cardiologist, Dr. Asif Qasim transitioned into the role of Lead Consultant Cardiologist in 2008.

Dr. Asif Qasim took on the task of managing the medical services of the Croydon community in 2010, on behalf of Mayday Hospital. This was not only beneficial for bettering the health of the local population, it stimulated the local economy, creation 1,000 new jobs. Each and every one of Dr. Qasim's achievements is worth taking note of, particularly when you consider the large amount of men, women and children that have reaped the benefits from them. In 2011, a day facility and catheter suite were unveiled to the community. Dr. Asif Qasim instigated his design for the Croydon Heart Centre in the year 2009.
